Procurement and engineering teams still read a drawing, shortlist suppliers, check certifications, and draft an RFQ as separate, disconnected tasks, often across email, spreadsheets, and CAD software before a single quote request goes out.

HaiBot is designed to remove the earliest and most time-consuming part of sourcing: working out which factories are even worth an RFQ. A procurement or engineering team can describe a need in plain language - "I need CNC machined parts for bicycle frames" - and every recommendation HaiBot returns is drawn from Haizol's verified factory network.

In a live example, a procurement manager asked HaiBot: "What's the best CNC machining factory with 5-axis capability and IATF 16949?" HaiBot returned more than 10 matching Haizol member factories, each with a note on best fit (part complexity, volume stage, additional certifications).

One Assistant, Every Custom Manufacturing Process

HaiBot's matching logic runs on Haizol's existing capability data, so the same conversation works whether the RFQ is for a single machined bracket or a multi-process assembly:

  • CNC machining - HaiBot surfaces factories offering 3-axis to 5-axis milling and turning, tolerances down to ±0.025 mm, and certifications including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, and ISO 13485 - the exact filters used in the 5-axis/IATF 16949 example above.
  • Injection molding - For plastic molding RFQs, HaiBot surfaces factories running injection, insert, overmolding, and multi-shot (2K) molding, matched to the material, wall thickness, and machine tonnage (14-1000T) the part requires.
  • Sheet metal fabrication - HaiBot reads sheet metal drawings for process fit - laser cutting, punching, bending, welding - and returns factories that match the material thickness and finish called out in the file.
  • Metal casting, stamping, forging, and rapid prototyping - the same verified-factory logic covers die casting, investment casting, progressive-die stamping, and rapid prototyping RFQs, so a multi-process assembly can be sourced from one conversation instead of one query per process.

 

Design Analysis: Upload a Drawing, Get a Sourcing-Ready Report

The same workspace reads files directly. A team can upload a 2D drawing, 3D model, specification sheet, or existing RFQ document, and HaiBot analyses the manufacturing requirements before recommending factories.

In practice, that means flagging what's missing before the RFQ goes out. In one review, HaiBot flagged a drawing with no material specification, no thickness callout, and no tolerance block, each with a plain-language note on why it blocks an accurate quote - for example, "Cannot quote without knowing if it's Steel, Stainless, Aluminum, etc." for the missing material specification.
