Multi-Step Precision Locating Shaft

This shaft features a structure combining a large bottom flange with a multi-diameter stepped body. It is typically used as a limit pin, guide pillar, or precision connector in automation equipment. The wide bottom flange provides a stable mounting reference to restrict axial displacement, while the hexagonal top section allows for wrench engagement, facilitating tightening or preventing rotation during assembly.

The core of the machining process lies in controlling the concentricity of the multi-step outer diameters and ensuring dimensional consistency across all sections. The verticality of the step transitions on the shaft body is strictly maintained to ensure smooth sliding or tight fitting of mating parts. Leveraging clusters of CNC lathes, the factory achieves one-time clamping and forming, effectively guaranteeing positional tolerances for each step. Secondary milling operations for threaded holes or side slots can also be performed as required.
