Automotive Gear Shift Knob

Designed for the assembly requirements of high-frequency interior components, this gear shift knob features a multi-material composite structure integrating a top grip area, a central decorative trim, and a bottom connection interface. Its ergonomic design ensures a comfortable grip and operational stability under complex driving conditions, serving as a key human-machine interaction component in the transmission control systems of passenger and commercial vehicles.

The manufacturing process involves injection molding of the skeleton, surface electroplating or PVD treatment, and overmolding with soft materials. The core of the processing lies in controlling the fit gap between the trim and the main body to ensure a visually seamless transition and a high-gloss finish. Strict control over the dimensional tolerance and coaxiality of the bottom mounting interface is maintained to ensure a secure connection with the transmission linkage, preventing looseness or play after long-term use. The bonding strength and wear resistance of the overmolding material are verified through aging and tensile tests to prevent delamination or surface wear.

Leveraging our IATF 16949 certified quality management system, our production line is equipped with Haitian precision injection molding machines and rubber injection molding equipment. We offer one-stop delivery capabilities ranging from mold development and injection/overmolding to post-plating assembly. With testing instruments such as electronic tensile testers and high/low-temperature chambers, we can perform sampling verification based on customer-provided 3D digital models and appearance limit samples, meeting the stringent acceptance standards of OEMs for interior part appearance defects and functional durability.
