Automotive Gear Shift Knob

Designed to meet the assembly requirements of automotive interior HMI components, this gear shift knob features a multi-material composite structure. The top section includes a non-slip grip area with gear position indicators, while the sides are accented with high-gloss metallic-finish trim plates. The base features a standard connection interface, and the overall ergonomic design ensures a comfortable grip. It is suitable for transmission control systems in both passenger and commercial vehicles.

The manufacturing process involves multiple steps, including injection molding of the skeleton, surface electroplating or PVD treatment, and soft material overmolding. Key processing focuses include controlling the fit gap between the trim plate and the main body to ensure a visually seamless transition, while maintaining strict dimensional tolerances at the bottom mounting interface. This ensures a secure connection with the transmission linkage mechanism and consistent operational feel.
