Deep-Cavity Injection Molded Structural Housing

Rectangular plastic housing featuring deep cavities and dense internal ribs, typically serving as a protective enclosure for industrial controllers, inspection instruments, or automation equipment. The assembly consists of upper and lower halves snapped together. The side walls are equipped with multiple cylindrical mounting posts and countersunk holes to ensure secure fastening and electrical isolation of PCBs and internal modules. Large-area grid-like reinforcing ribs enhance overall rigidity and assist in heat dissipation.

Deep-cavity thin-walled parts are prone to defects such as shrinkage, warpage, or weld lines during injection molding, imposing strict requirements on mold cooling channel layout and holding pressure curves. The flatness of key mating surfaces, the inner diameter tolerance of screw posts, and the elastic deformation of snap fits directly affect assembly airtightness and operational feel. Gate positions are optimized via mold flow analysis to balance filling pressure, ensuring dimensional stability in mass production.
