About Rectangular Deep-Cavity Injection Molded Housing

Designed as an internal carrier for electronic devices or industrial controllers, this black rectangular housing is manufactured via one-piece injection molding. The main body features a regular rectangular deep-cavity structure. The side walls are equipped with multiple groups of outwardly extending irregular snap-fits and positioning bosses, enabling quick locking of the upper and lower covers and providing stable support for internal PCBs. Counterbored screw mounting holes are reserved at the four corners, facilitating the fixation of components to chassis panels or equipment frames, thereby balancing assembly convenience with structural sealing.

Such deep-cavity thin-walled parts impose high requirements on melt flow balance and cooling shrinkage control during the injection molding process. Differences in wall thickness exist between the cantilever snap-fit structures on the side walls and the reinforcing ribs, requiring precise control of the holding pressure curve to prevent surface sink marks, warpage, or internal stress concentration. The flatness of key mating surfaces, snap-fit clearance tolerances, and coaxiality of mounting holes directly affect the subsequent assembly's air tightness and operational feel. Therefore, gate locations and cooling channel layouts must be optimized during mold design to ensure dimensional stability in mass production.
