As a critical sealing component for the vehicle sunroof sliding mechanism, this part is manufactured via injection molding or compression molding using black elastomeric materials. It features a closed rectangular ring structure. The cross-section is designed with specific lips and mounting slots to fit tightly against the sunroof glass edge and the roof sheet metal opening. This effectively prevents rainwater, dust, and wind noise from entering the cabin while buffering vibrations during glass movement.

The manufacturing process focuses on controlling the consistency of the rubber's Shore hardness and cross-sectional dimensional tolerances. This ensures the sealing lip has sufficient resilience to maintain long-term sealing performance without creating excessive sliding resistance. For the curved transition areas at corners, mold flow channel designs are optimized to prevent defects such as short shots or weld lines. The positioning bosses and mounting holes at the base require high-precision flatness to ensure tight fitment during assembly, preventing air leakage or water ingress caused by uneven gaps.
