Precision Progressive Die Lower Plate

As the core support reference for progressive stamping dies, this lower plate integrates mounting positions for multiple irregular inserts, guide pillar holes, and stripper pin channels. The stepped counterbores and precision fit slots distributed across its surface ensure accurate alignment of the upper die assembly during high-speed reciprocating motion. It provides a stable support platform for blanking or forming processes, directly determining the dimensional stability of the final stamped parts.

The key to manufacturing such plates with multiple hole positions and complex internal cavity structures lies in controlling the positional tolerance between installation holes and the flatness of the cavity surface to prevent interference or poor fit during assembly. For the asymmetrical irregular slots and tiny pin holes on the plate, high-precision slow wire EDM is used for contour shaping, combined with optical grinding to ensure the flatness and perpendicularity of the end faces. This effectively eliminates machining stress and extends mold service life.

Supported by dual IATF16949 and ISO9001 certification systems, our production line is equipped with slow wire EDM machines from brands like Sodick and Western, as well as Wangpan surface grinders, capable of processing high-hardness materials such as tool steel, alloy steel, and cemented carbide. We perform 100% inspection of key fit dimensions using Mitutoyo vision measuring systems and Hexagon CMMs to ensure consistency between batches. Quotations are evaluated based on specific 2D/3D drawings, material grades, heat treatment hardness, and expected order volume.
