About Precision Machined Sensor Mounting Block

This rectangular block features a central through-hole and a cylindrical connecting shaft, seamlessly integrating square body and shaft characteristics via turn-mill composite machining. This monolithic design eliminates cumulative errors associated with multi-part assembly, making it ideal as a rigid support base for photoelectric sensors, proximity switches, or small cameras in automation equipment.

Key precision controls include the flatness of the square body's end face and the coaxiality of the central hole, ensuring accurate alignment of the optical axis or detection direction after installation. The outer diameter tolerance and surface roughness of the cylindrical shaft directly impact the smoothness of insertion fits. To handle parts with both rotational and non-rotational features, our facility utilizes Tsugami and Star Swiss-type lathes, along with Syntec turn-mill compound lathes. This allows milling of the main body and turning of the shaft in a single setup, effectively controlling positional tolerances and minimizing tool marks.

Materials typically include 304/316 stainless steel to balance corrosion resistance and structural strength, though aluminum alloy or carbon steel with appropriate surface treatments are available based on operating conditions.
