Deep-Cavity Injection Molded Structural Housing

This rectangular plastic housing features a deep cavity and dense internal ribs, typically serving as a protective enclosure for industrial controllers, testing instruments, or automation equipment. The assembly consists of upper and lower halves snapped together. The side walls are equipped with multiple cylindrical mounting bosses and countersunk holes to ensure secure fastening and electrical isolation of PCBs and internal modules. Additionally, large-area grid-like reinforcing ribs enhance overall rigidity and assist in heat dissipation.

During injection molding, such deep-cavity, thin-walled parts are prone to defects like shrinkage, warpage, or weld lines, imposing strict requirements on mold cooling channel layout and holding pressure curves. The flatness of key mating surfaces, the inner diameter tolerance of screw bosses, and the elastic deformation of snap fits directly affect assembly airtightness and operational feel. We utilize mold flow analysis to optimize gate locations and balance filling pressure, ensuring dimensional stability in mass production.
